General description: golden orange to brown colouring with lighter bands on cross-sawn surfaces; hard deposits of calcium carbonate may be present making the surrounding wood darker; interlocked, sometimes irregular grain, quite coarse but regular texture.

Uses: A structural wood ideal for pilework and shipping works.
